PRODUCTION LOGO - ADOBE PHOTOSHOP
To create my Film Production Logo I have used Adobe Photoshop to make a iconic logo contributing to our Film Company called " The Halfmoon Entertainment". Using Photoshop I can use a variety of tools to help produce a unique logo to represent us.
STEP-BY-STEP:
I chose a picture from the google website with half a moon linking to my Film Production Company, however this image will be edited and customised thus not intended copyright.
On the left-hand side I used a tool "Quick Selection", which basically highlights around a particular shape. I chose this tool because I want to exclude the excess background which is not needed. And then I highlighted underneath where the moon starts the fade out which is important in my design idea.
To make my moon look different than how it was before was used the "Image" category and used "Auto Tone/Contrast". By using these tools my moon looks more natural and subtle, which makes it more comfortable when looking at it than how sharp it was at the beginning.
Then I used the Text Tool with the font "The Next Font" of the words The Halfmoon Entertainment separately underneath each other.
To divide the Moon and the Text, I created a rectangle with the "Rectangle Tool". However instead of a bright white line I have used a gradient overlay on the rectangle, thus fades the black to white blending the moon into the text in a contrast of a ying/yang colorway.
To finish of I added a "Custom Shape" of a triangle and added a gradient overlay from black to white as I did above. Then positioned it on the top represent a flag.
